Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu

Tirunelveli is an administrative district in Tamil Nadu, India. The district is located about 640 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its administrative headquarters is in Tirunelveli. Tamil is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 6,693 km², including 5,635.87 km² of rural area and 1,057.13 km² of urban area.
