Tiruppur District, Tamil Nadu

Tiruppur District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 440 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Tiruppur. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 5,187 km², including 4,354.47 km² of rural area and 832.53 km² of urban area.
