Tiruppur is an administrative district in Tamil Nadu, India. The district is located about 440 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its administrative headquarters is in Tiruppur. Tamil is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 5,187 km², including 4,354.47 km² of rural area and 832.53 km² of urban area.
