Ayodhya District, Uttar Pradesh

Ayodhya District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 130 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Ayodhya. Hindi and Avadhi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,341 km², including 2,266.23 km² of rural area and 74.77 km² of urban area.
