Kanpur Nagar District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 80 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Kanpur. Hindi and Urdu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,155 km², including 2,832.16 km² of rural area and 322.84 km² of urban area.
