Kanpur Nagar is an administrative district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The district is located about 80 km from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Kanpur. Hindi and Urdu are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 3,155 km², including 2,832.16 km² of rural area and 322.84 km² of urban area.
