Chirang District, Assam

Chirang is an administrative district in Assam, India. The district is located about 210 km from Dispur, the capital of Assam. Its administrative headquarters is in Kajalgaon. Bodo, Assamese and Garo are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 1,923 km², including 1,910.94 km² of rural area and 12.06 km² of urban area.
