Katihar
Katihar is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Katihar is 3,057 km² including 2,988.64 km² rural area and 68.36 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Katihar has a population of 30,71,029 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,73,822 while rural population is 27,97,207. Katihar has a sex ratio of approximately 918 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1005 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,19,076 houses in the district, including 53,564 urban houses and 5,65,512 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,306 villages in katihar district.
