Bastar District, Chhattisgarh

Bastar District is an administrative district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated about 300 km from Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh. The district headquarters is located at Jagdalpur. Hindi, Gondi, Halbi and Dorli are among the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 10,470 km², including 10,296.29 km² of rural area and 173.71 km² of urban area.
