Mahasamund District, Chhattisgarh

Mahasamund District is an administrative district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated about 55 km from Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh. The district headquarters is located at Mahasamund. Hindi and Chhattisgarhi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,790 km², including 4,730.68 km² of rural area and 59.32 km² of urban area.
