Kangra District, Himachal Pradesh
Kangra is an administrative district in Himachal Pradesh, India. The district is located about 240 km from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Dharamshala. Hindi, Pahari, Gaddi and Tibetan are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 5,739 km², including 5,691.34 km² of rural area and 47.66 km² of urban area.
