Latehar District, Jharkhand

Latehar District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 100 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Latehar. Hindi, Oraon and Mundari are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,291 km², including 4,251.92 km² of rural area and 39.08 km² of urban area.
