Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu

Kancheepuram is an administrative district in Tamil Nadu, India. The district is located about 75 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its administrative headquarters is in Kanchipuram. Tamil is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,483 km², including 3,818.41 km² of rural area and 664.59 km² of urban area.
