Tiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu

Tiruvannamalai is an administrative district in Tamil Nadu, India. The district is located about 185 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its administrative headquarters is in Tiruvannaamalai. Tamil is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 6,188 km², including 6,013.68 km² of rural area and 174.32 km² of urban area.
