Sivaganga District, Tamil Nadu

Sivaganga is an administrative district in Tamil Nadu, India. The district is located about 500 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its administrative headquarters is in Sivagangai. Tamil is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,233 km², including 4,056.34 km² of rural area and 176.66 km² of urban area.
