Theni District, Tamil Nadu
Theni is an administrative district in Tamil Nadu, India. The district is located about 530 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its administrative headquarters is in Theni. Tamil and Malayalam are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 2,868 km², including 2,570.69 km² of rural area and 297.31 km² of urban area.
