Bahraich District, Uttar Pradesh

Bahraich District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 170 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Bahraich. Hindi and Avadhi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 5,237 km², including 5,205.74 km² of rural area and 31.26 km² of urban area.
