Kheri District, Uttar Pradesh

Kheri District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 180 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Lakhimpur. Hindi and Avadhi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 7,680 km², including 7,592.03 km² of rural area and 87.97 km² of urban area.
