Rae Bareli is an administrative district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The district is located about 80 km from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Raebareli. Hindi and Avadhi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,609 km², including 4,532.51 km² of rural area and 76.49 km² of urban area.
