Haridwar District, Uttarakhand

Haridwar District is an administrative district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is situated about 55 km from Dehradun, the state capital of Uttarakhand. The district headquarters is located at Haridwar. Hindi and Garhwali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,360 km², including 2,238.76 km² of rural area and 121.24 km² of urban area.
