Malda District, West Bengal
Malda District is an administrative district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated about 340 km from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal. The district headquarters is located at English Bazar. Bengali and Hindi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,733 km², including 3,646.91 km² of rural area and 86.09 km² of urban area.
