Murshidabad District, West Bengal
Murshidabad District is an administrative district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated about 215 km from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal. The district headquarters is located at Baharampur. Bengali and Urdu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 5,324 km², including 5,048.06 km² of rural area and 275.94 km² of urban area.
