Giridih District, Jharkhand
Giridih District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 165 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Giridih. Hindi and Santhali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,962 km², including 4,909.37 km² of rural area and 52.63 km² of urban area.
