West Garo Hills District, Meghalaya
West Garo Hills District is an administrative district in the state of Meghalaya, India. It is situated about 200 km from Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya. The district headquarters is located at Tura. Garo (Achik), Assamese and Bengali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,677 km², including 3,658.68 km² of rural area and 18.32 km² of urban area.
