West Garo Hills District, Meghalaya
West Garo Hills is an administrative district in Meghalaya, India. The district is located about 200 km from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Its administrative headquarters is in Tura. Garo (Achik), Assamese and Bengali are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 3,677 km², including 3,658.68 km² of rural area and 18.32 km² of urban area.
