Perambalur District, Tamil Nadu

Perambalur District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 270 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Perambalur. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,756 km², including 1,672.33 km² of rural area and 83.67 km² of urban area.
