Bankura District, West Bengal
Bankura District is an administrative district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated about 210 km from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal. The district headquarters is located at Bankura. Bengali is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 6,882 km², including 6,791.53 km² of rural area and 90.47 km² of urban area.
