Hooghly District, West Bengal
Hooghly District is an administrative district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated about 45 km from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal. The district headquarters is located at Chinsurah. Bengali is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,149 km², including 2,819.97 km² of rural area and 329.03 km² of urban area.
