Koppal

Koppal is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Koppal is 5,570 km² including 5,533.14 km² rural area and 36.86 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Koppal has a population of 13,89,920 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,33,704 while rural population is 11,56,216. Koppal has a sex ratio of approximately 985 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 250 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,64,595 houses in the district, including 46,847 urban houses and 2,17,748 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 595 villages in koppal district.
