Raichur is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. The district is located about 420 km from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Its administrative headquarters is in Raichur. Kannada, Telugu and Urdu are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 8,442 km², including 8,329.59 km² of rural area and 112.41 km² of urban area.
