Raichur

Raichur is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Raichur is 8,442 km² including 8,329.59 km² rural area and 112.41 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Raichur has a population of 19,28,812 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,90,348 while rural population is 14,38,464. Raichur has a sex ratio of approximately 999 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 228 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,63,853 houses in the district, including 96,268 urban houses and 2,67,585 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 815 villages in raichur district.
