Mizoram

Mizoram is a state located in the north-eastern region of India. It was established on 20-Feb-1987. The capital of the state is Aizawl. The official languages are Mizo, English. Major rivers of Mizoram include Tlawng, Tuivawl, Chhimtuipui.

As per Census 2011, Mizoram has a total geographical area of 21,081 square kilometres, including 20,494 square kilometres of rural area and 587 square kilometres of urban area.

The state has a unicameral legislature with 1 Lok Sabha seat, 1 Rajya Sabha seat, 40 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Gauhati High Court. Mizoram shares borders with Assam, Tripura, Manipur, and has an international border with Bangladesh, Myanmar.

Population of Mizoram
