Tripura
Tripura is an Indian state located in the North-Eastern region of India. It was established on 21-Jan-1972. The capital of the state is Agartala. The official languages are Bengali, English, Kokborok. Major rivers include Gomati, Haora, Khowai, Muhuri.
As per Census 2011, the total area of the state is 10,486 square kilometres, including 10,094 square kilometres of rural area and 392 square kilometres of urban area.
The state has a unicameral legislature with 2 Lok Sabha seats, 1 Rajya Sabha seat, 60 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Tripura High Court. Tripura shares borders with Assam, Mizoram, and has an international border with Bangladesh.
