Tripura

Tripura is a state located in the north-eastern region of India. It was established on 21-Jan-1972. The capital of the state is Agartala. The official languages are Bengali, English, Kokborok. Major rivers of Tripura include Gomati, Haora, Khowai, Muhuri.

As per Census 2011, Tripura has a total geographical area of 10,486 square kilometres, including 10,094 square kilometres of rural area and 392 square kilometres of urban area.

The state has a unicameral legislature with 2 Lok Sabha seats, 1 Rajya Sabha seat, 60 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Tripura High Court. Tripura shares borders with Assam, Mizoram, and has an international border with Bangladesh.
