Tripura is an Indian State located in the Northeastern region of India. Tripura state is established on 21-Jan-1972 and the capital of Tripura is Agartala. Tripura is a small and beautiful state in northeastern India, known for its rich cultural heritage. It's where you can see amazing palaces like Ujjayanta and enjoy colorful festivals like Durga Puja. Total area of Tripura is 10,486 km² including 10,094.12 km² rural area and 391.88 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Tripura has a population of 36,73,917 peoples, out of which urban population is 9,61,453 while rural population is 27,12,464. There are about 8,55,556 houses in the state, including 2,38,974 urban houses and 6,16,582 rural houses.
